The presentation will tell the story of my dives in July of
2006, 50 years almost to the day of the famous sinking of
the
Andrea Doria in the North Atlantic after a collision
with the Stockholm.
My dives were off the John Jack, on a trip led by Joel
Silverstein--a noted wreck diver and technical diving
instructor--who made his 50th dive on the Doria on this
trip.
The presentation will touch briefly on the history of the
wreck, the gear and training needed to accomplish such a
dive safely, breathing gases, decompression schedules, and
planning.
